Herbert Ssegujja also known as Mendo is a 29 year old Ugandan Professional Standup, Sketch and Improvisation Comedian with fun factory Comedy Group. He’s popularly known for acting comic impressions of Influential Personalities including Uganda’s President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and USA President Barack Obama.
Herbert has on occasion performed at high profile local and international Comedy events including New York’s famous Gotham Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club and the Broadway Theater.
A graduate of One Year Programme in Comedy Performing and Writing at American Comedy Institute New York, he’s also a high school professional teacher at Standard High school Zana in Kampala. Having been inspired by Zambian Legendary Comic Impressionist Ben Phiri, Herbert founded Comfort Comedy Clinic,a Comedy school based in Uganda to help aspiring comedians who want to turn their sense of humor into comedy career .This was after his return from the American Comedy Institute.
Through Quarterly standup comedy workshops the clinic has produced young talented fresh comics who are now called THE PUNCH LINERS and are now regular performers at Haha show at Theatre LA Bonita.
Currently he’s working on producing a Comedy Tv show called PROFESSOR JOEL that looks at the funny lighter side of Influential personalities including East African Heads of States.He is also the brain behind Uganda’s rising comedy brand Teacher Mpamire.
