I am glad that Dr. BMK will be the recipients of the Diapora Lifetime Award 2014. He is one of the few homegrown entrepreneurs with demonstrable interest in the diaspora community. During my last two years of transitioning from the USA back to Uganda, I have had extremely valuable interactions with Dr. BMK. My first meeting with him was at the Hilton Hotel in Nairobi. After that, I met with him at Hotel Africana where he personally gave a tour of his property and told me about the future expansion plans for the facility. He was Chairman of the Uganda Hotel Owners Association at the time. He made several appointments for me to meet with other major public and private players in the hotel industry. He likes to assist returning Ugandans who exhibit interest in contributing to the nations economy privately or otherwise. He is certainly an icon who deserves tha award.
I would not have a better choice for that award than Dr.Kibirige.I developed professionally under him and he gave me a chance to grow my career as his employee. I cannot hide my admiration for the respect he gives his employees. He does not act like a boss but rather a colleague and parent and if you went to Hotel Africana you may never know he is the owner because he is so down to earth and, very free with everyone. I learnt a great deal from him and have carried that on in my life and i must say he is hugely responsible for who i am today. I would like to say i appreciate all that i benefited as his employee and may Allah continue to bless him abundantly.
i salute to him ,he is a very gud bussiness man hear in uganda,he is the only man i look at for my beings in future
